Seeing as the OpenQuest Companion has gone through its proofread, and I have all the art I need, I’m currently throwing it into layout, for a release in pdf at least this side of Christmas. It will go out to Kickstarter Backers and OpenQuet pre-orders first, but a pre-order will open via my web store on D101games.com shortly.
Here are some preview pages.
Newt, will Open Quest Companion allow you to adapt the current rules so it’s easier for the players to create classic PC classes( i.e. fighter, cleric, wizard, rogue, ect). I ask, because I’m trying to get my group to try Open Quest but they’re full-on, Dee n’ Dee gamers and find Runequest type games too off putting.
No, but OpenQuest Dungeons will. It will have ready-made concepts that mirror the four core D&D classes and advice on easing players more familiar with D&D into the full OQ/D100 experience. As well as actual Dungeon adventures, and a home town where they can interact with the cultural side of OpenQuest and be introduced to the benefits of the OQ magic systems.
I’m currently working on an early 2022 release for it and there will be updates and previews about it here 🙂
Fantastic! I’ll be the first one in line to pick up OpenQuest Dungeons!
